On Valentines Day 14 Feb 2011 I was on a 50ft yacht with 12 men on the Winstone Architect's Regatta. When the captain made an unclean turn 2 men were catapulted through the air. Dave Manners [15 stone]landed knee first onto the back of my hip and a 12 stone man landed on him. The combined force fractured my back and dislocated my back.
Rehabilitation is long and painful. Most of the artwork I make involves lifting beyond my capacity so I am very pleased to be able to produce these cast glass pieces thanks to Andrew of Kiwa Art for financing the casting glass. These pieces will be in the window in Parnell next week.
